Ever loving God,
we, your children,
always grateful for your gift
of family,
thank you for the holiness
of our homes.

On this day of great rejoicing
Lord Jesus Christ, when we welcome
You as our King and Saviour,
we also walk in the shadow of Your cross.

Loving God,
You have given all peoples one common origin,
and your will is to gather them as one family in yourself.

Fast from hurting words and say kind words.
Fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude.
Fast from anger and be filled with patience.
Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope.
Fast from worries and trust in God.
