Social Worker / Counsellor/ Mental Health Practitioner

The College seeks a Social Worker / Counsellor / Mental Health Practitioner to support young people in achieving psychological health, social and emotional wellbeing and academic success.

The Social Worker / Counsellor / Mental Health Practitioner works collaboratively with a number of teaching and allied health staff within a Response to Intervention Framework. As well as short to medium term counselling, the Social Worker / Counsellor / Mental Health Practitioner would facilitate individual and small group programs, work with families and pro-actively at a school-wide level to create and maintain a safe, welcoming and supportive learning environment.

This is a full time position, commencing on 27 January 2022. Initially, it is a 12 month contract with the possibility of becoming ongoing.

Whilst the role is advertised as a full time position, part time (0.5 – 0.8 FTE) and flexible hours would be considered.
